Extended Schools Assistant – Afterschool Club Commencing 1 September 2026
Kempshott Junior School is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Extended Schools Team as soon as possible, to assist at our Afterschool Club.
The club runs from 3.15 – 5.45pm Monday to Friday term time only.
Salary will be a Grade C
We are aiming to hold interviews between 16 July and 20 July
We have a bank of students who assist with the club but we are currently looking for an additional member of staff to take a more experienced role within the club.
The successful candidates will be required to supervise children aged 4-11, ensuring that they are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment, and provide a variety of stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors.
The Assistants will be responsible for upholding all school policies, particularly those relating to behaviour management, health and safety, child protection and safeguarding.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Planning and organising activities
- Maintaining an accurate register of attendance
- Assisting in providing a simple healthy tea
- Setting up and clearing away at the start and end of each session
- Ensuring the safe collection of children at the end of each session
