Family Support Worker

Job Introduction

Bushy Leaze Family Support are looking for a Family Support Worker.   20-24 hours per week, term time only. May require 1 Saturday morning per month and possibility of additional hours in school holidays.  Initially a 2 year fixed term contract.

 The role is to provide focussed family support to vulnerable families with children aged 0-5. This will predominantly involve working on a 1:1 basis (in the centre or in the home) and planning for and running a variety of focussed baby and toddler groups.  

 You will be working with partners and agencies both statutory and voluntary giving the best possible multi agency approach to support families. You will share information and signposting, to encourage parental engagement with their children’s learning, provide 1:1 consultation, run parenting courses, support groups and undertake partnership working and networking.   

 Requirements: NVQ3 level qualifications in relevant area – health, social care or education, full driving licence and use of a car and previous experience of working with families and multi-agency colleagues.
