Finance Officer - Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced professional to support the Operations Manager with the effective delivery of the school’s financial processes and administration of the support functions to ensure the efficient running of the school. 

 

Responsibilities will include processing orders for goods and services, payment of invoices, receiving and reconciling payments in respect of school activities, and dealing with & responding to a variety of contact from external sources, ensuring clear precise & accurate information.

 

The successful candidate will have a financial background and knowledge of financial management systems. Experience of working in a school would be an advantage.

  • has the ability to work on their own initiative
  • is able to prioritise, plan and manage workload
  • is accurate and well organised in their approach to work
  • has good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Math and English Grade C or equivalent)
  • has the ability to communicate basic information effectively to a range of audiences
  • has good IT skills
  • is a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within our school community to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils
