Groundskeeper/Maintenance

To be responsible for the maintenance of the grounds of the school, maintaining the lawns, pitches and boarders to a high standard and within requirements of Health and Safety

Manage the maintenance of the school site, carrying out regular checks, detection of damage and reporting damage
Prioritise maintenance and repair tasks, consulting with the Site Team where necessary
Formulate the annual maintenance plan for the school grounds, ensuring all aspects of maintenance are addressed regularly

Grounds Maintenance

In relation to the annual programme, carry out the tasks required around the school's hard/soft landscape areas, playing fields and boundaries
Undertake the necessary action with regard to:
Regular maintenance of all hedges and fences both within the school property and around the school boundary
Regular maintenance of shrubs and flower beds
Ensure all hard areas are checked continually and maintained to a high level of repair and devoid of health and safety issues
Ensure that all areas of grass are cut to a high standard
Carry out duties related to the maintenance of suitable play areas for sport within the school including:
Marking of pitches and training areas for all sports including athletics and rounders etc
Maintenance of goal posts and nets on 3G
Repair any damaged equipment
Undertake complete responsibility for the Astro Turf Pitch (ATP) with regard to all pieces of equipment including goal, dug outs and the continual maintenance of the surface in collaboration with the Site Manager
To monitor stores of personal protective equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are always available and in good order
To monitor and maintain all grounds maintenance machinery and equipment
Manage stock levels (e.g Fuel) with the Site Team
Report any defects to the Site Manager
Ensuring all equipment and machine is maintained when needed liaising with the Site Manager
