Job Introduction
The students, governors and staff of the Skylark Federation are looking for an HLTA to join their teaching team as soon as possible.
The Skylark Federation comprises Appleshaw St Peter's CE Primary and Kimpton, Thruxton & Fyfield CE Primary Schools. Both are small, rural schools on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border that put Faith, Hope and Love, at the heart of all we do. Our Christian values and strongly-held principles ensure that we have a clear focus on constantly aiming to improve outcomes for all students. The post would be based at Kimpton, Thruxton & Fyfield CE Primary School.
We would like to appoint an HLTA who:
- has the ability to build positive relationships with children and an understanding of how children learn and develop
- has excellent numeracy and literacy skills (min. GCSE Maths & English Grade C or equivalent)
- has a warm, positive and caring personality
- has the ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently, and to take initiative
- would be able to cover absences, intervention teaching and PPA cover
- has experience of whole class teaching
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- has a sound understanding of Safeguarding
