Job Introduction
Head of PE (TLR1a)
from April 2025
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring practitioner with a real passion for sport and physical education, and with the leadership skills to continue to take the department forward. You will have a track record of teaching and leadership which involves and inspires students and colleagues.
We have an excellent range of facilities – a FIFA accredited STP, large MUGA, additional hard courts, outside fitness equipment and school field. Internally, we have a large sports hall, activity studio and two other halls shared with dance, a fitness suite and set of spinning bikes.
This is an exciting opportunity to enhance an already successful area of school life, characterised by an ambitious drive for excellence centred on the school’s vision of ‘Success for All through Attainment, Resilience and Autonomy’. This post would suit a teacher looking for their next responsibility. You will work closely with the senior staff to improve and develop the curriculum and outcomes in this area, including students’ general fitness.
We offer a fantastic working environment, where staff well-being is truly valued.
We guide each child as their character develops and they discover what they love to do. Via our main school and other facilities (Farm, Print Shop, Construction Centre), we raise aspirations and prepare them for life. We are much more than just a school.
We offer high quality support and programmes of professional development, which provide many opportunities. We encourage staff to be forward-thinking and are very supportive of those seeking opportunities to develop teaching and learning.
