About Braishfield Primary School. 

Braishfield Primary School is a small village primary school on the outskirts of Romsey in the Test Valley. It serves a thriving community with a growing population and a strong caring ethos and community spirit. The school has 101 pupils on roll, as well as an excellent reputation and is very popular within its local community. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced candidate.  

Job/Person Summary 

We are looking for someone who will continue to inspire, lead and develop our dedicated, hardworking staff and who is committed to every child reaching their full potential. 

You must demonstrate a successful proven experience of school leadership and possess a clarity of vision in respect of how to evaluate and improve the performance of a school through evidence-informed strategies that lead to continuous school improvement over time. 

You must have a passion for establishing, sustaining and improving high standards of teaching and learning, have high expectations of yourself and others, and be ambitious about educational standards and a curriculum which prepares children for their next phase of education and life. 

You will also need to have excellent communication skills, be approachable and able to deal with the everyday challenges that being the Head of a village school brings. 

It is essential that you have experience of promoting equality and diversity and are fully up to date with the policies and procedures relating to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare. You must be committed to inclusion with an up to date knowledge of appropriate strategies and the type of support needed for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
