Job Introduction
We have an opportunity to join our very friendly team as an HLTA working across all year groups. The applicant should be an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
The successful candidates will:
- have experience of supporting children with their learning and development
- have experience of supporting children with interaction and communication needs
- have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
- work well as part of a team
- be prepared and confident in covering for PPA across the whole school
- be flexible in covering classes as this may be requested last minute due to staff absence etc.
- be able to work independently, proactively, and with initiative
- be confident in their understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
Role / responsibilities, include:
- Undertake whole-class supervision in the absence of the class teacher as required, according to the needs of the school.
- Working unsupervised in terms of PPA cover and complete any reasonable requests of teaching staff / SLT
- Assist the teacher to create an appropriate learning environment
Working hours: 8:30 - 4:00 Monday to Friday, term time only (part time may be considered for the right candidate)
Salary: Hampshire grade D £27,780 - £30,564 full time equivalent
