Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA): PPA Cover
Part-time: 4 days per week
Start date: September 2026
Contract: Fixed term until August 2027
Salary: D Grade

We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead classroom cover across the school, supporting our children to be the best they can be.
The post involves working closely with our PPA team for two days a week, teaching, supporting and appropriately challenging pupils across the Key Stage Two curriculum. For the remainder of the week, the successful candidate will provide high-quality support for children within a classroom setting.
You will need:
· A good English and Maths skillset (GCSE /O Level Grade C or above)
· Good communication skills
· A positive attitude
· The ability to use your initiative
· To be highly organised with good time management skills
· To be able to work as a member of a team
· To relate well to both adults and children
· Excellent behaviour management skills
· An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
· HLTA qualification (desirable)
