This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, supporting colleagues, and positively impacting outcomes for our children. Working as part of our established HLTA and LSA3 team, you will support classes alongside a teacher in the mornings and then cover classes in the afternoons (with planning provided), enabling the release of teachers and Year Group Leaders while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will:
- Take responsibility for whole-class teaching and learning, delivering lessons set by teachers;
- Work independently and with initiative, managing behaviour and adapting teaching to meet pupil needs;
- Support pupil progress by monitoring, evaluating and recording learning outcomes;
- Contribute to planning, curriculum delivery and learning environments;
- Foster independence, inclusion and high aspirations for all pupils;
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is an inspirational HLTA or experienced practitioner with a passion for raising standards;
- Has excellent classroom practice and confidence teaching across the primary age range;
- Demonstrates high expectations, strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach;
- Is a reflective, organised and motivated professional;
- Can create engaging, exciting and memorable learning experiences;
- Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective pedagogy;
- Builds positive relationships and contributes to a strong team ethos;
- Is committed to pupil wellbeing, inclusion and pastoral care.
We can offer:
- Motivated, happy and well-behaved pupils who are ready to learn;
- A highly supportive and dedicated team;
- A well-resourced school and classroom;
- Teaching assistants who support rapid progress in classes and for individuals;
- Excellent liaison and joint opportunities for development with other local schools;
- A supportive leadership team and professional development;
- A role where you can make a tangible impact every day.
