Location: Rucstall Primary School, Basingstoke
Hours of Work: Term-Time, Monday to Friday (08:30 – 16:00)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Hampshire Support Staff Scale, Grade D Pro Rata 

Start Date: 1st September 2026
Closing Date: 6th July 2026 at 12:00 – Interviews 15th July 2026.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to fulfil the role of a HLTA at Rucstall Primary School. In this vital role, you will be dedicated to raising standards, supporting core classroom learning, leading classes and interventions.

What You Will Do:

  • Support Core Skills: Work closely with class teachers to enhance pupils' reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
  • Provide Cover: Confidently cover classes with structured work provided by the class teacher.
  • Deliver Interventions: Lead structured small group and 1:1 support sessions to target individual learner development.
  • Foster Environment: Create an inspiring, purposeful, safe, and inclusive learning environment across the school.
