Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for an HLTA who has a working knowledge of the National Curriculum. We welcome applicants who have a passion for inclusion and can inspire children to achieve.

This position will require you to cover classes for a proportion of your week for teachers’ PPA and other cover across the federation. You will contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and mark children's work in line with the school policy. You will work with individuals and groups both within class and teaching interventions to ensure good progress. 

We are looking for an HLTA who:

* holds the HLTA accreditation/qualification or a level 4 and is willing to train

* has experience at KS1 or KS2 

* has experience covering a class in the teacher's absence

* is suitably qualified (minimum equivalent NVQ3, GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics).

* is keen to work as part of a team and to share best practices across the federation.

* is passionate about raising the achievement of all our children.

* have high expectations of Behaviour for Learning.

* is an effective communicator with staff, parents and children alike.

* is able to deliver effective curriculum intervention programs.

The role will include 30 minutes of lunchtime mentoring support.

 

Monday- Friday   8.30am-3.30pm 32.5 Hours per week (39 weeks)
