Job Introduction
Knightwood is a happy and successful primary school in Chandlers Ford. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA who will be a motivated individual who enjoys working with children and has a patient and caring nature.
The successful applicant will be delivering lessons set by the class teacher. This will be as part of regular PPA release, management release time or staff absence. You will also be delivering small group interventions mainly to KS2 Children.
This role could be a great stepping stone for those who have the aspiration to become a qualified teacher.
The successful candidate will…
have HLTA status or other appropriate qualification along with GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
have experience of working with children in primary / junior Schools
be able to motivate and engage all children
be able to use their initiative and be resourceful
be a positive and supportive team member
have patience and strong communication skills
be time efficient and competent in working to a busy timetable
