Job Introduction
We are very proud of our school and we are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our very friendly and supportive team from January 2025. Our highly inclusive, one form entry church school provides an excellent environment for achieving high standards in teaching and learning. We work collaboratively with a number of schools across Andover and its neighbouring villages, creating many opportunities for professional development in a range of exciting contexts.
This post could be the ideal opportunity for somebody who already has the HLTA qualification. Alternatively, this could be a training opportunity for somebody looking for the next step in their career. Experience within a mainstream setting is desirable, along with the ability to engage and build relationships with children.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be an effective communicator with excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C English and Maths or equivalent), and accurate spoken English.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to work both flexibly and independently, as well as part of a team.
- Be committed to delivering excellent, creative learning opportunities for all children.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Is already qualified as an HLTA or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Has a warm, caring personality with a good sense of humour.
- Is highly organised and thrives in a collaborative, team environment.
- Is ambitious for all children to reach their full potential.
