Job Advert: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or an experienced TA with the desire to train to be and take on the role of HLTA, to join our supportive, close-knit team at Harestock Primary School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in class to support the children and class teacher, initially in KS2
- Provide cover for teacher's PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) release
- Manage and maintain the school library
Requirements:
- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience or minimum of 2 years experience as a TA and desire to train
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Grade C English and maths GCSE (or equivalent qualifications)
Desirable Qualities:
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Creativity and adaptability in delivering engaging lessons
- Experience in managing and developing a school library
Salary: Grade D
