Salary Details: Grade D1 – Actual Salary £23,025

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 8.15am- 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am-3.45pm Friday.  Term time only, 39 weeks per year

Location of Role: Endeavour Primary (King & Kirk Campus)

Job/Person Summary

 

We are a friendly and welcoming school who are looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic HLTA who is passionate about supporting children to ensure the best possible outcomes. We are looking for someone who is flexible in their approach to working across key stages and school campuses.

This role will include:

 

  • Taking responsibility for groups or classes of students in the absence of their usual teacher
  • Liaising with teaching staff with regard to work set for a class
  • Managing the behaviour of students in line with school behaviour policy to ensure a positive environment 
  • Upholding a positive safeguarding culture at all times
  • Marking within, and after lessons where appropriate, as per school policy and expectations
  • Reporting back, as appropriate, using the school's agreed referral procedures, on the behaviour of students during the class, and any other issues arising
  • Support pupils with SEND, by staying up to date with pupil individualised provision and discuss pupil needs with teacher for relevant personal need prior to lessons
  • Work alongside parents in the best interests of pupils
  • Take part in whole school INSET activities to enhance job effectiveness
  • Accompany students on trips, visits and other educational activities
  • Undertake ‘duty’ as part of the school’s duty system (including break and/or lunch)
