Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, experienced team to support us with the class cover of PPA (planning, preparation and assessment time) and other class cover alongside booster sessions and general classroom support.


The hours of work allow time to set up for your morning and afternoon sessions in conjunction with the class teacher. You would teach the timetabled lessons (this would not include PE unless you hold a teaching qualification) which will be planned by the class teacher.


You will be expected to undertake marking of the work completed in line with the school's marking policy.


You will not be expected to attend staff meetings/parents evening


The successful candidate would be a good collaborator with a sense of humour and excellent behaviour management skills.


We are looking for someone with at least 2 years relevant experience in a teaching/learning/child support working environment with at least a level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualifications (maths and English GCSE grade C or above compulsory).

The salary for this role will be Grade D. FTE £26,918-£29,616 (£13.95- £15.35 per hour)
