Job Introduction
Job Summary:
You will be required to provide expert advice and support to enhance the ICT infrastructure and services in a SEND school, ensuring that technology meets the unique needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.
You will have oversight of strategic review of ICT within the school from a business and administration context.
Develop ICT Strategy: Create a comprehensive ICT strategy tailored to the needs of staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
In line with Hollywater Schools Development Plan:
Identify Support mechanisms and logistics for the review of ICT provider.
Key Actions:
· Assess Current ICT Infrastructure: Evaluate the existing ICT systems and identify areas for improvement.
· Produce Inventory of all existing ICT provision.
· Review software and applications
· Evaluate Network Infrastructure:
· Identify Assistive Technology for students and staff.
· Analyze how ICT resources are being used.
· Assess the physical accessibility of ICT resources.
· Review the training and support available for teachers / staff & plan for additional training if needed.
· Implement ICT Solutions: Oversee the implementation of new ICT solutions and technologies.
· Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff and students to ensure effective use of ICT resources.
· Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with school staff, surveying teachers leaders and other educational professionals.
· Ensure Compliance: Work with the DSL to ensure that ICT practices comply with national and local regulatory requirements especially in relation to Safeguarding and GDPR.
· Prepare for Inspections: Assist the school in preparing for Ofsted inspections by improving provision.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Expertise in ICT: Strong knowledge of ICT systems and solutions.
· Experience in SEND Education: Experience working in SEND education or a related field, Human Resources.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
· Project Management: Experience in managing ICT projects and initiatives.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Relevant degree or certification in ICT, Education, or a related field.
· NVQ level 3 or 4 in ICT or a related subject.
