Job Introduction

St Alban’s Church of England Aided Primary School is a very happy, inclusive and successful one-form entry school in Havant with a strong Christian ethos and high standards where every child is ‘inspired to make a difference in God’s world with excellence and love’

We are seeking an excellent practitioner to start on 1st January 2025 on a permanent, basis, working 3 days a week, who:

  • has the SENCO accreditation or the desire to work towards one
  • is a qualified teacher with sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice
  • can lead a ‘whatever it takes’ approach to inclusion across the school to raise aspiration and achievement
  • is committed to getting the best outcomes for all pupils
  • has a comprehensive understanding of children with additional needs and child development
  • is a reflective practitioner and is committed to delivering excellent learning for all children with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • has the ability to plan and work strategically with other members of staff to ensure the right provision is in place for our pupils
  • has excellent organisational skills
  • can effectively, and sensitively, communicate with all stakeholders
  • will support, be sensitive to and promote the Christian ethos of the school
