Invigilator

Job Introduction

Start Date - February 2025

Seasonal paid role (Nov-Dec & Feb-July)

Rate of pay - £12 per hour

We are looking to appoint people with an educational background or an interest in education, to increase the size of our pool of Examination Invigilators in our school. We are aiming to build a regular team to work on an ad-hoc basis. You will be supervising students taking both mock and GCSE exams (predominantly November, February, May, June & July). Part of the invigilating duties may also involve undertaking the role of Scribe. This will involve producing accurate, verbatim transcripts of answers dictated by the pupil.

We are looking for reliable, calm and committed people who can demonstrate common sense, accuracy, attention to detail, and are willing to provide the best exam experience possible for students.  Applications are welcome from people with experience, but training will be provided. Applicants should have a calm, authoritative manner with a ‘natural presence’.  Our invigilators are responsible for ensuring that exams are run according to JCQ regulations.  An enhanced DBS check will be required.

If you are interested in becoming part of our team, building on our success and joining us on our exciting journey to become an outstanding school, we would love to hear from you.
