Job/Person Summary:
Lydlynch Infant School is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and innovative classroom practitioner who is keen to work with children, supporting learning, both emotionally and academically. This is a maternity cover role for the autumn term.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has high expectations for behaviour
- Is patient, positive, calm and caring
- Has a passion for children's academic and social progress and wellbeing
- Can support children's social and emotional development and show empathy and understanding
- Is enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative
- Is committed to working as part of a team that has a 'can do' attitude
- Understands confidentially and safeguarding
- Can work alongside the class teacher to deliver learning.

The person we are looking for will:
- GCSE or equivalent Grade C (4) or above in Maths and English
- Be calm, patient and keen to learn
- Have some experience working with children
- Have high expectations
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Be committed to working as part of a team
- Be a good timekeeper and highly organised with good time management skills
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times and who understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
- A sense of humour
