Contract/Hours:  Full time 8.30am –3.30pm, with the opportunity of additional hours at our Breakfast Club or After School Club

Salary type: Support Staff Salary Details: Support staff pay scale B (£24,027 – £24,348) / C (£24,405 - £25,430)

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and caring Early Years support Learning Support Assistant, who has experience of supporting children aged 3 to 5 years old. The role is to support children in Early Years and work alongside class teachers to provide support to help all pupils including children with EHC plans.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Understand that behaviour is always a form of communication and to be able to provide positive behaviour support.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team. 
  • Be enthusiastic and patient.
  • Have recent experience of working in Early Years, Nursery or Key Stage 1 setting and have a good understanding of child development. 
  • Be able to use initiative to develop and deliver own programs to promote self-regulation and self-esteem in individual children.  
  • Is able to work independently and with initiative.
  • Interested in furthering their own professional development.
  • Qualifications in English and Maths are essential.
