We are currently developing our outdoor learning opportunities, especially in our Early Years and KS1 learning environments so this is an exciting time to join us and work alongside our inspirational teaching & support team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join our Year 5/6 teaching team to offer maternity cover. The successful candidate will, on a 0.2 contract, be sharing responsibility with an experienced senior teacher. Required from November 2024, the successful applicant will complement the dedicated team of professionals who provide a welcoming yet stimulating learning experience for all the children at West Meon School.

The successful applicant will:
- Have secure subject knowledge and a proven record of high-quality teaching
- Be able to communicate effectively within a classroom setting with the senior teacher
- Be able to motivate and engage children with inspiring classroom practice
- Have had experience of leading a subject
- Have had experience teaching KS2
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of school life including outdoor education, trips and residentials
- Have a good understanding of assessment strategies that make a difference!
