An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Federation of Broughton and West Tytherley Primary schools.
We are seeking a committed teacher to take over one of our wonderful KS2 classes at West Tytherley CE Primary School.
West Tytherley CE Primary School is situated in the delightful village of West Tytherley on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, with easy access to beautiful countryside and a wide range of community amenities which support the learning of our children. Our school has been providing an education for children in the locality since 1910. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong emphasis on an outdoor learning provision and are firmly committed to achieving excellent outcomes for our pupils. We are extremely proud of our achievements but are also committed to on-going improvements.
It is a well-regarded, well-resourced, non-denominational school for boys and girls aged from 4 - 11 years old.

Our federation is made up of two, charming village schools which have both received ‘Good’ grades from Ofsted. Under the Federation, each school remains separate but works together under a single Governing Body and an Executive Head Teacher - Mrs. Macey. Each school retains its unique character, and both Broughton and West Tytherley pride themselves on their caring, small-school approach where children are known and valued as individuals. The federation provides a friendly and forward thinking environment to work in and we offer an excellent induction and professional development opportunities beyond those available to individual village schools.

We provide an effective and supportive program of CPD to all our staff that is adapted to meet the current needs of the staff. We are looking for a teacher who is:
- enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated
- an excellent classroom practitioner with a real interest in and knowledge of how children in Key Stage 1 and 2 learn with high expectations of behaviour
- able to provide exciting and inspiring learning experiences for every child in their care
- experienced in or able to adapt their practice to successfully deliver high quality education in a mixed year group class
- a team player, able to inspire and work in partnership with staff, parents and pupils
- willing to be proactive in supporting the day to day smooth running of the school
- committed to raising standards in learning and teaching and have high expectations of themselves and the children
- encourages pupils to show initiative, take risks with their learning and challenge themselves
- flexible, proactive and able to work using their initiative to respond to the changing needs of the school and its pupils on a daily basis
- Is a reflective and resilient teacher who can work collaboratively with staff in our federation to improve their own practice and that of others
- Is willing to bring fresh ideas, talents and build on our strengths and curriculum to prepare children to understand the world around them and to make a difference.
