KS2 Classroom Teacher

Job Introduction

We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated teacher to join our team on a fixed term contract starting in January 2026 working for two terms initially, with a possible extension to December 2026 if required. Mayhill Junior School is in the heart of Odiham Village and has a strong community feel, often linking up with local infant and secondary schools. There are currently 240 pupils on roll of which 30% of pupils are from RAF or military families.

Our recent Ofsted inspection (January 2025) rated us as Outstanding for the personal development of our pupils, reflecting our nurturing environment and commitment to personal and academic development of all children. The school has high expectations of all pupils, with an ambitious curriculum that engages children in their learning, resulting in strong standards of behaviour and positive outcomes in national assessments.

Leaders ensure there are continuous professional development opportunities across the friendly, supportive staff team. We would warmly welcome you to come for a tour and meet with the Head teacher so that you can see the potential and opportunities that exist here. Our positive learning culture and teamwork are strengths of the school. Come and take a look!

Mayhill can offer teachers joining our school:

  • Professional development opportunities
  • PPA with your year group team
  • Experienced, supportive colleagues
  • An ambitious well-designed curriculum
