We are looking for an enthusiastic and exceptional class teacher to teach in a Key stage 1 class in our happy and successful school. An interest in Maths / Geography would be an asset, as the role includes a subject leadership responsibility. We pride ourselves in nurturing and supporting every child and knowing every child as an individual. We are a supportive, happy team and go the extra mile for all children.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Will be committed to high quality teaching and learning inside and outside the classroom
- Has recent experience of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and an understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Has a really good understanding of the way in which children learn and can set purposeful next steps in learning
- Provides exciting and inspiring learning experiences for every child in their care
- Is confident, with excellent assessment and ability to plan next steps for all children
- Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children
- Is confident and competent at using ICT to support learning
- Is a team player who can demonstrate good interpersonal skills and is self–reflective, with excellent communication skills
- Committed to high standards of personal and professional development
- Has a good sense of humour, is enthusiastic, ambitious and able to work with initiative
- Has a growth mindset and is able to teach mixed ability (not pre-set) groups of children using careful scaffolding and reviewing prior teaching
