Lakeside School is an outstanding day and residential special school for 97 x 10-16 year old boys with a range of needs including challenging behaviour ADHD and autism.

We are looking to recruit a Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistant to work alongside the class teacher with a small class of pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- need to have empathy with pupils and sympathetic to their needs.
- be professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality.
- have good organisational skills with the ability to work independently and with initiative is important.
- be competent in working with small groups of pupils with some supervision from the Key Stage 2 teacher.
- must be able to support the Key Stage 2 teacher in the planning and delivery of teaching activities.
- be able to monitor student progress.
- have good communication skills
- be able to clarify and explain instructions clearly
- the ability to motivate and encourage pupils
- have good literacy and numeracy skills
