Job Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our friendly KS2 team from September 2025.
The teaching assistant role includes classroom support across the curriculum, specific intervention work with individuals and groups of children, supporting the teacher with Individual Education Plans for SEN pupils, and specific support for pupils with DHCPs. All of our teaching assistants are required to work for 30 minutes during the lunch hour supporting play activities. 15 minutes preparation time with the class teacher is built into the hours to ensure that teaching assistants are suitably prepared for the day.
This is a term-time only contract (INSET days included) for 30 hrs per week, starting at 8.30am. Please see the job details for more information about hours.
The successful candidates will
- have a range of experience within KS2;
- have knowledge and experience of delivering intervention programmes;
- have a good understanding of child development and learning;
- be a good team player;
- demonstrate effective communication skills, with adults and children;
- be able to promote positive behaviour;
- be flexible, enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working;
- enjoy working with children, and be able to support the school in the safeguarding of pupils.
