A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join our hard working and friendly team. We have 12 single-age group classes with no more than 25 children in a class. Our school is filled with like-minded people who want to make a difference to the children in our school. This role will involve providing 1:1 support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Has knowledge of the key aspects of the role of an LSA but training will be provided
- Can enthuse and inspire children to learn on a 1:1 basis
- Has high expectations and a positive attitude
- Has excellent communication skills and can relate well to others
- Has a positive approach to behaviour management
- Is willing to try new ideas
- Is enthusiastic, resilient and has a good sense of humour
- Patience and flexibility
- Has good organisational skills
- Has experience of working with children and some knowledge of neurodiversity (ASD / ADHD) is beneficial although not essential as training can be provided.
- Has secure knowledge of basic literacy and mathematics
