Learning Support Assistant (Year 6) 1:1
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our Year 6 team. The successful candidate will provide targeted support for a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
Our children are enthusiastic learners, and we have high expectations for both achievement and personal development. We are a welcoming school with a strong family ethos, close links with our local community, and a valued partnership with our church.
Working closely with the Year 6 class team and the SENDCo, you will play a key role in supporting the child's academic progress, social development and emotional wellbeing. We are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

We are looking for someone who:
· Is calm, patient and kind, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children.
· Is committed to supporting children's learning and development, demonstrating initiative while working collaboratively as part of a class team.
· Can provide effective one-to-one support and work with small groups when required.
· Can deliver creative, engaging learning opportunities tailored to meet an individual child's needs and starting points.
· Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Has experience of working in a school environment, supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
· Has experience of promoting children's social, emotional and mental wellbeing through a child-centred approach and the use of co-regulation strategies.
· Maintains high expectations for all pupils and acts as a strong advocate for their individual needs.
· Is flexible, resilient and able to respond positively to the changing needs of children throughout the school day.
· Shares our commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child feels valued, supported and successful.
