Contract / Hours: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-time, 35hrs a week 39 weeks a year, 8.30am-3.30pm Mon – Fri
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged children, some of whom have additional learning needs, and all of whom bring unique gifts, talents, and a love of learning.
This blended role combines 1:1 learning support (primarily with children in receipt of additional SEN support) with opportunities to assist in small group work and classroom-wide teaching activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
This position is offered on a 12-month basis but may be terminated earlier should the SEN pupils leave the school or if the associated SEN funding is withdrawn.

What We’re Looking For
We will appoint someone who:
- Has excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills
- Has experience working in a school or educational setting, ideally in a classroom
- Can read and write fluently, with strong spelling and confidence in maths (minimum GCSE or equivalent)
- Demonstrates maturity, self-confidence, and common sense
- Is practical, flexible, and solution-oriented
- Understands how children learn and how to support their progress
- Has a positive, "can-do" attitude and works well both independently and in a team
- Uses ICT confidently and effectively in an educational setting
- Brings an additional skill to enrich school life (e.g. art, gardening, cooking, music, photography, tech, etc.)
