Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint a caring and happy staff member to support a Year R child from September. This will be an excellent opportunity for somebody who is thinking about entering the teaching profession and enjoys working with children. We are a happy, friendly, supportive team and in role training will be given. Our dedication to staff well-being was praised and recognised in our recent Ofsted where our school maintained its 'outstanding' grading.
Qualities we are looking for:
- a positive person who likes working with children
- an ability to use initiative to design tasks that follow children's interest
- a team player who can follow planned learning and also contribute to meetings
- have energy, enthusiasm and the ability to be flexible
- be resilient, patient and caring
- share our commitment to the safeguarding of children
- be able to work with outside agencies
- have experience of the Early Years curriculum
- have experience of working with children with social/communication difficulties
- be able to attune to a child's emotional needs
- be able to motivate children to learn
Due to funding, this role is a temporary contract until 31st August 2025 initially to be reviewed in line with the school budget. It would suit a nursery practitioner who would like school experience.
