Job/Person Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to specifically support children one to one and in small groups. Candidates will need to have a good understanding of junior aged children and how they learn. Experience of listening to children or helping with mental health is desirable
- Be cheerful, flexible and approachable;
- Have energy and enthusiasm, and be able to show initiative within the role;
- Be a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils;
- Be patient and have good communication skills;
- Have a good understanding of child development and some experience of supporting children who have social and emotional difficulty.

If you are interested in becoming a teacher in the future this could be an ideal first step in your teaching career. We can offer a strong and supportive staff team and a detailed training programme for the Learning Support Assistant role. This contract is initially for two terms but is highly likely to evolve into a permanent position.
