Job/Person Summary

Horndean Infant School is a three form entry school, with an outstanding early years setting. We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a positive caring approach to children and their individual needs.  

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Work in class with individual or small groups of children under the direction of the class teacher
  • Assist in ensuring pupils are encouraged and motivated to learn. 
  • Support the class teacher in meeting the differing needs of pupils.
  • Prepare and organise resources 
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding practices

 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has experience of working with primary aged children
  • Has a professional approach to all aspects of school life
  • Possesses excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Has appropriate levels of literacy and numeracy
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a successful team and show initiative
  • Has a caring and cheerful disposition
