Contract Hours: Fixed Term, Term-time only

Salary: EHCC/Support Staff

 

Salary Details: Mornings only £9258 - £9798.60  actual (16.25 hours/week)

All day £14470.68 - £15315.84 actual (25.4 hours/ week)

(£24027 - £25430 FTE)

 

Plus lunch time £2,952.36 actual (5.4 hours/ week) (£23657 FTE)

 

 

Hours of work:  16.25 or 25.4 hours per week term time plus one week.  

08:50 to 12:05 for mornings only

08:50 to 15:20 for all day, Monday to Friday, term time plus one week.  

Plus lunch time 12:05 – 13:10

Job Description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (Level 1 or 2 dependent of experience) to work with individual pupils or to support small groups in our federation. 

 

The successful candidate must be able to work closely with the class teacher to support pupils to be the best they can be and make good progress during all lessons. Experience of working or volunteering within a mainstream setting is desirable and the ability to engage and build relationships with children is essential. This role may also suit a graduate with a long-term view to teacher training. The post also includes lunchtime supervision.

You will need:

  • A good English and Maths skillset   (GCSE / O Level Grade C or above )
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • To be highly organised with good time management skills
  • To be able to work as a member of a team
  • To relate well to both adults and children
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
