Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA1)  

Location: John Keble Church of England Primary School, Hursley  

Salary/Grade: B 

Hours: 3 days/16.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Closing date: 9th December 2024

Start Date: ASAP

 

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at John Keble Primary School, a one-form entry school known for its warm and welcoming environment.

 

About the Role:

In this role, you will support the class teacher every morning, working with small groups of children, and the afternoon you will be providing 1:1 support.  You will be part of a collaborative team of support assistants who are committed to fostering a nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Build positive relationships with students to help them grow academically and socially.

- Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.

- Learn and implement various strategies and techniques from experienced teachers and colleagues.

We seek someone with experience working with children who can create a safe and caring environment. Your ability to build strong relationships will be crucial in helping our students flourish. A sense of humour and a positive attitude, especially during challenging moments, will help you fit right in!
