Job Description

We are looking for a resilient and flexible person who has a good understanding of building positive relationships with children; to work in our junior school. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills and use these to motivate children to learn, foster their talents and make good progress. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support English and Maths therefore, GCSEs (or equivalent) in these subjects is necessary. Experience of working in Key Stage 2 is desirable.
This role will involve working with children with additional needs, therefore patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations is required. The candidate must have the ability to use active listening skills to understand the childrens’ needs which will create the best conditions for learning and teaching new things. The role is very rewarding and seeing children achieve every day is the best part of this job.
