We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and patient Learning Support Assistant to join our LSA team in the Infant school. Currently the school will be operating on two sites until the building work has been completed. The post will be in Year 1.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is kind and caring and has good and calm communication skills.
- Has an encouraging attitude and uses positives strategies to nurture, motivate and support children in their learning
- Is self-reflective, has a willingness to learn and demonstrates initiative.
- Has resilience and is enthusiastic about working with children.
- Is a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within our school community to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
- Has an understanding of complex behaviours.
- Has Math's and English GCSE or equivalent and is computer literate.

You will need to be committed to supporting and developing children’s learning and building upon the relationships already in place within the classroom. Experience of working with vulnerable children in schools, speech and language understanding and motor skills development would be desirable but training is possible.
This post will be for 27.5 hours per week and is a permanent role. Due to requiring consistency for the children with whom you will be working with the role is offered at 5 days a week term time only. The pay scale will be Grade C (£24,405- £25,430 pro-rata). We are looking for someone to start after Christmas.
