We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and able to show high levels of initiative. Knowledge of the Early Years curriculum is desirable but, more importantly, we are seeking an individual who is keen and quick to learn and who is an excellent team player. Although the position is in Early Years, you may be required to work in other year groups in the future.

Elvetham Heath Primary School is a large school with approximately 645 children on roll. One of the advantages of working in a large school is that there are a lot of people willing to help and support new members of staff. They are a friendly bunch here!

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to improving outcomes for all children
  • Have a calm and unflappable approach with a good sense of humour
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Have a firm, sensitive and effective approach to pupil discipline
  • Be reflective and open to new ideas and initiatives
  • Be well-organised and able to appreciate that there is a multi-role aspect to this post which will require excellent flexibility and adaptability
  • Have the ability to work independently, showing initiative and managing their own time effectively
  • Be able to monitor, evaluate and record pupil progress with guidance from senior leaders.
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We can offer:

  • Strong and supportive leadership from our EYFS year leader
  • A friendly, dynamic and supportive team who are dedicated to providing an exciting and enriching learning experience
  • Happy children who enjoy learning
  • A wonderful setting in which to work.

We would love you to come and visit the school. Please contact Zoë Ellisdon on z.ellisdon@ehps.hants.sch.uk to arrange a convenient time. Please note that school will be closed from 1pm on Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

Closing date: Tuesday 14 January 2025

Interviews: Monday 20 January 2025

Start date: Late January. Exact date TBC
