Alver Valley Schools Early Years Team are recognised across the area as having a strong creative approach to curriculum design. We are now seeking an excellent Early Years Practitioner to join our fabulous Early Years Team, initially in the nursery.

We are looking for a practitioner to work in our Nursery who is reflective and will relish the opportunity to train and be involved with excellent practice across the school, using up-to-the-minute research to build an outstanding team to support our young children.

The successful candidates will need to:

Essential

  • Have a good understanding of how young children learn best, including knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum;
  • Have high expectations of pupils;
  • Have recent experience working in an Early Years setting;
  • Be able to ensure a safe and healthy place of learning for the children;
  • Have an enthused and organised approach to work;
  • Be fully committed to the ethos of the school;
  • Have strong, positive behaviour management skills;
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C+;
  • Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills;

Desirable

  • Be qualified to or working towards Level 3 in Education /Childcare
