Contract: Temporary contract (one year), Part-time

Salary Type: Support Staff

Salary Details: Grade B

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 3.30 pm (to include some lunch duties)

We are looking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic, skilled and creative Learning Support Assistant to work at our friendly, caring and successful school.  Responsibilities will include supporting children in either KS1 or KS2, playing a positive role in both their pastoral and academic development as well as partaking in some early morning intervention group teaching and lunchtime duties.

Experience of working with children previously is desirable. You will be well supported with regards to induction and in-school training will be provided to enable you to develop your skills further. 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they are:

  • Can work under direction of the class teacher and on their own initiative.
  • Have energy, enthusiasm and the ability to be flexible
  • Able to play effectively and form strong relationships with children
  • Have a firm belief in inclusion and have an intuitive response to our children’s needs
  • Are patient, empathetic and consistent
  • Passionate about providing rich educational experiences
