Job Description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (Level 1 or 2 dependent of experience) to support our teaching team.

 

The successful candidate must be able to work closely with the class teacher to support pupils to be the best they can be and make good progress during all lessons. Experience of working or volunteering within a mainstream setting is desirable and the ability to engage and build relationships with children is essential. This role may also suit a graduate with a long-term view to teacher training. The post also includes lunchtime supervision.

You will need:

  • A good English and Maths skillset   (GCSE / O Level Grade C or above )
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • To be highly organised with good time management skills
  • To be able to work as a member of a team
  • To relate well to both adults and children
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding

Application packs are available to download (see attached). Completed application forms should be returned to the Federation Headteacher, Mrs Earle by Friday 9th January at noon.

 

The shortlist will be drawn up on Friday afternoon and interviews will be arranged for the week commencing  Further details will be sent to those candidates called for interview.
