Learning Support Partner (LSP)

Contract/Hours: Fixed term (Spring & Summer term 2025), Part-time

Salary Type: Grade B/C (depending on experience)

Hours of Work: 5 Days per week, hours TBC (potentially up to 32 hours)

Job/Person Summary

Are you keen to have a positive influence on children’s lives?

Are you a positive, friendly and professional person, who would like to join our team and make a difference to children’s learning?

We are seeking to appoint a person who is enthusiastic, hardworking, caring and dedicated, to join us to work with supporting children in the classroom. This will also include 1 to 1 support for individual children.

You will need to be flexible, adaptable, resourceful and patient as the role will be varied and demanding but also very rewarding.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Relates well to both children and adults and has excellent interpersonal skills
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills along with a commitment to work as part of a team.
  • Whilst previous experience would be an advantage, we are looking for a person who is able to build good relationships with the children.  You will be able to positively manage their behaviour and individual needs, helping them to access their learning environment effectively.
  • Be committed to supporting children with specific needs.
  • Be caring, calm and patient
  • Be highly organised and has good time management skills
  • Is able to effectively communicate feedback to the class teacher as required
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
