Job Introduction
Mill Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a level 1 or 2 learning support assistant to work in upper KS2 for 23 hours per week, to start in September 2025 or as soon as possible.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Be qualified with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Have experience of being an LSA and who would like more responsibility
- Be confident when working with small groups and classes of children
- Have an empathetic understanding of children’s emotions and behaviour and actively seek to remove barriers to learning
- Be calm, positive and resilient
- Be flexible and adaptable to the daily changing life of the school, including last minute changes of plan
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude with high aspirations for themselves, our children and staff
- Use initiative to ensure all learners achieve the best outcomes
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
- Be a positive role model
- Be willing to undergo training if necessary to further develop the role.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of the role and the responsibilities involved. They must also be an excellent timekeeper and be confident in dealing with primary aged children.
