Lower Key Stage 2 Phase Leader

Job Introduction

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our team as the Lower KS2 Phase Leader. In this role, you will lead mixed Y3/4 classes, working collaboratively to deliver an engaging and enriching curriculum.   This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our senior leadership team that is supportive, friendly, innovative and has children at its centre. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated teachers and support staff
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the lower KS2 phase
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils, implementing effective intervention strategies
  • Provide support, guidance, and professional development to the phase team
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and development of the school

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Passion for primary education and a commitment to ensuring all pupils to be incredible
  • Is focused on building powerful relationships with children and sets high expectations of behaviour and conduct,
  • Is an exceptional KS2 teacher who understands how to motivate, engage and inspire learning for all children,
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and management
  • Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogy
  • Is well organised, self-disciplined and can prioritise and manage their workload efficiently,
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate colleagues with clarity and vision

Desirable Qualities:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team effectively
  • Shows innovation, initiative, and resilience in their practice
  • Actively takes part in all aspects of school life and local community
  • An interest in either maths or PE
