Lunchtime Supervisor Assistant

Salary Details: Hampshire Pay scale Grade A - £12.97 per hour 

Hours of Work: 12:00pm-1:30pm Monday to Friday, term time only (39 working weeks)

Job/Person Summary 

We are looking to recruit a friendly, caring person who enjoys working with children. You will join our hard-working and supportive team to support our children at lunch times. The successful candidate will need to be a good time keeper, confident when dealing with pupils, a good communicator, a team player, calm and willing to undertake first aid training. 

 

The role involves: 

  • Undertaking duties including playground/field supervision, dining hall duties and wet break supervision in class.
  • Promotion of ‘Positive Play’ ensuring productive lunchtime activities for pupils.
  • Ensuring that good order and discipline is maintained in accordance with the school’s agreed Behaviour Policy. 
  • Administer basic first aid and keep records of accidents.
  • Liaise with the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher regularly, including attending regular paid meetings outside of the lunch period.
  • Attend training where applicable, including that for First Aid.
  • Assist with ancillary duties e.g. cleaning up spillages, wiping tables.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of dealings in school.
