LUNCHTIME SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT

 

1 hr & 30 mins per day (11.55pm – 1.25pm). Term time only

 

£12.66 per hour 

We have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant at Alderwood School Junior site.

We are looking to recruit a friendly, caring person who enjoys working with children to join our hard working and supportive team for 1 hour and twenty minutes per day. You will need to be a good time keeper, confident when dealing with pupils, a good communicator, a calm organiser and willing to undertake first aid training and be able to work well in a team. 

The role involves:

  • Helping to organise our pupils in the hall, classrooms and outside areas, encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating
  • Supervising, supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate in lunchtime activities
  • Promoting independence, fair play and positive behaviour 
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils
  • Administering of minor first aid

Uniform and training will be provided.

Interviews

Only those applicants who fulfil the job specification will be short-listed. 2 references will be sought for each candidate, and these references must be received before the interview. 

 

There will be an interview panel comprising of the Head of School and the Senior Supervisory Assistant. The Head of School has undertaken the ‘Safer Recruitment in Schools’ training.
