Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Job Introduction

We are an Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Setting that holds a gold accreditation for its support and understanding of children’s emotional needs and so it is important to find a candidate who strives to understand and support children’s additional needs. 

We currently have a vacancy for a lunchtime supervisor to join our dedicated lunch team who are responsible for supervising children during their lunchtime. We are looking for a kind and patient person who enjoys working as part of a team within a school environment.

 

Duties will include:

Supervising and actively engaging with children on the playground. 

Supervising and supporting children in the lunch hall, classroom and playground, play areas and field.

Encouraging positive play and listening to children.

Administrating basic first aid.

Being aware of health and safety to ensure a safe environment for all.

 

The successful applicant will need to:

Work effectively as part of a team. 

Communicate positively with children and other adults.

Enjoy working with children and small teams of adults.

Be a good time keeper.

Support children whilst they eat their lunch and promote healthy eating.

Be reliable and consistent in promoting good behaviour and the values of the school.

Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times.
