About the Role

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 depending on experience). You will join a supportive department committed to raising achievement, shaping an ambitious curriculum, and developing a positive culture of learning.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  •  Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that support, stretch, and inspire students of all abilities. 
  •  Contributing to the development and refinement of a well-sequenced and inclusive mathematics curriculum. 
  •  Using a range of assessment strategies to track progress, identify misconceptions, and inform teaching. 
  •  Creating a purposeful, supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated. 
  •  Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and to continually improve outcomes. 
  •  Participating fully in school life, including enrichment and departmental activities. 
  •  Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance pedagogy, subject knowledge, and leadership skills.

About You

  • We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
    • Essential
      •  Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
      •  Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to teach confidently across Key Stages 3 and 4. 
      •  The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support and challenge all learners. 
      •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. 
      •  Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively in a busy school environment. 
      •  A commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding, and the welfare of young people. 
      •  A reflective and proactive approach to professional development. 
    • Desirable
      •  Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 5. 
      •  Experience working within a secondary school environment. 
      •  Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities, enrichment, or wider school initiatives. 
      •  An interest in curriculum development, assessment practice, or innovation in pedagogy.


Salary: Main Pay Range / Upper Pay Range, depending on experience.
