Midday Supervisory Assistant

Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint two calm, friendly and dynamic people to join our fun and dedicated lunch team. The successful candidates will be working in a supportive, structured role, and be a valued member of our school community.

You will need to:

  • be proactive and promote positive play
  • ideally have experience of working with children
  • actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable
  • have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • be able to work well with others (under guidance) and show own initiative
  • be willing to undertake basic first aid training.

Main duties will include:

  • effectively supervising pupils in the lunch hall/classrooms and outside on the playground 
  • encouraging positive play by leading a range of playground games
  • ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils
  • promoting healthy eating
  • ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner
  • following safeguarding procedures 
  • basic first aid – training will be provided.
